Learning Chinese is fascinating! That's what we believe. That's what we want to share with you.
Chinese characters have been a fully developed written form for almost 5,000 years. Many of it's 214 radicals (similar to root words) have multiple meanings and intriguing stories steeped in cultural references; some insightful and thought-provoking, others humorous. Most also share strong similarities with their ancient, oracle bone forms and lend themselves well toward illustration. Our project focuses on sharing the richness of the characters' form through visual illustrations and the fascinating logic and cultural insight behind each character.
We are a small, growing team developing visual-based learning systems, interactive media and games designed to make learning the Chinese language interesting, engaging and fun. We value collaboration and welcome all ideas, insights and feedback. Our illustrations can not be used for commercial purposes nor may the illustrations be remixed or transformed for distribution. To use any of our illustrations for educational purposes not related to commercial use, please reach out to us here.
Let's make The Learning Lotus Project a valuable resource for learning the Chinese language.
